A new deadline of April 6 has been fixed for the ongoing National Identification Number (NIN) and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) integration exercise.

This was made known on Tuesday in a statement issued by Dr. IKechuckwu Adinde, Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission and Mr. Kayode Adegoke, Head, Corporate Communications, NIMC.

In the statement, Minister of Communications and Digital economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) said that the new deadline of April 6 implies that Nigerians and legal residents who are yet to implement the linkage now have an eight-week extension to do so.
