NIN REGISTRATION: FED. GOVT. EXTENDS DATE

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has extended the deadline for Nigerians to register and link their National Identification Number (NIN) to their various SIM CARDS till February 2021.
According to a statement by Dr. Ikechukwu Adide, Director of Public Affairs of NCC, “at the end of a review meeting on Jan 18, 2021, the technical implementation committee reported significant progress in the on-going SIM linkage exercise”.
He stated that “a total of 47.6 million NIN have been received by the mobile operators, at an average of three to four SIMs per subscriber.
