2021: OGUN BUDGETS N339 BILLION AS PROPOSAL

Governor Dapo  Abiodun of Ogun state has presented N339 billion 2021 budget proposal to Ogun  state House of Assembly for approval.

According to the governor, the proposed budget is #110.97B different from 2020 proposal of #449.974B.

Tagged ‘Budget of Recovery and Sustainability, it highlights allocations for rapid development of Ogun state.

Governor  Abiodun  added that the ”2021 budget is meant to address the covid-19 pandemic, the #Endsars protests, the social economic aspirations of the people of Ogun state”.

He stressed that Ogun state will set aside #12 billion for a stabilization fund and #10 billion for public debt charges.

Gov Abiodun said that the budget comprises a recurrent expenditure of #162 billion and a capital expenditure of #177 billion.

According to Prince Abiodun, highlights of the budget include agriculture #15 billion , youth empowerment #6 billion, Education #58 billion, infrastructure #61 billion, social welfare #93 billion(health, housing , environment, women affairs and physical planning)

He disclosed that Ogun state Internal Revenue Service will generate an estimated #75 billion , while ministries, agencies, department will generate #44 billion, totaling #119 billion.
