Hilary Clinton, Ex-American Secretary of States, has urged President Buhari and the Nigerian Army to stop the killing of the protesters against police brutality in Nigeria.
Clinton made the call while reacting to the security forces sporadic shooting and killing of seven unarmed protesters in Lekki area of Lagos State on Tuesday night, few hours after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu imposed curfew in the State.
According to eye witnesses’ accounts, the peaceful protesters were seen rendering the Nigerian National Anthem, when the military opened fire on them, having earlier switched off the toll gate lights and rained bullets on them, claiming lives of some of the Nigerian youths, thus, injuring more than 30, now in various hospitals.
The state Governor, Babajide SanwoOlu said there was no fatality.
