COVID 19: BE READY FOR SIX MONTHS JAIL – GOV. DAPO ABIODUN

Gov. Abiodun has said that Primary and Secondary Schools are to reopen on August 4, while worship centers are to open August 14. Also anyone caught not wearing face mask will get 6 months jail term.

According to him, the opening of schools will enable students to have two weeks to prepare for the First School Leaving Certificate, while Senior Secondary School Examination of WAEC will begin August 17.

Gov. Dapo Abiodun made this known at a press conference in preparation for the re-opening of public schools, that, their premises have been de-contaminated and that adequate volume of water provided for hand washing facilities.

He further said that sick bay and isolation centers have been provided in each of the schools as well as thermometers and facemask

For the opening of worship centers, Gov. Abiodun advised religious leaders in the state to ensure that they abide by the Covid 19 protocol measures agreed upon during several consultation meeting held on the issue.

He vowed that he will not hesitate to close down any worship centers caught violating the agreed Covid 19 preventive measures.

According to the governor, Saturday and Sunday lockdown in Ogun State, still in existence.
