BREAKING NEWS: WILLY THOMAS, ACE BROADCASTER, IS DEAD

The Ace Broadcaster and owner of Cowrie FM Radio Station, Abeokuta, Ogun State, is dead.

According to Tunde Alabi Hindeyin Dudu on facebook, he died couple of hours ago

Contacted for detailed confirmation, Dudu told Prestige News Online that he passed on this morning (Thursday) in Abeokuta.

Contacted for his reaction, Busayo Olaifa, a retired assistant general manager OGBC describe his death as “Shocking, am yet to recovered from the sad news, he would have been a role model, a pathfinder with his community oriented radio station. Willy came at a wrong time, having struggled for more than twenty years to establish his private radio station Cowrie FM.

Bola Makinde, a fellow broadcaster, could not be reached on cell phone.

Willy Thomas worked with Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation as foundation DJ/Producer.

He was in Germany with Radio – Germany for couple of years and he came back to Abeokuta to establish Cowrie FM Radio Station in 2018.
