EDWARD AWOLOWO: OGUN NEW POLICE COMMISSIONER

Edward Awolowo has just been posted to Ogun State as the new commissioner of police as he replaces Kenneth Ebrimson, the former commissioner who retired on Wednesday.

Muhammed Adamu, the inspector General of Police approves the posting along with the new commissioners of Ekiti, Cross Rivers and Bayelsa State.

According to the spokes man, the new commissioner for Ekiti is Mobayo Babatunde, Abudu Jimoh for Cross River and Okon Micheal for Bayelsa State.

The Inspector General has implored the newly appointed commissioners to report to their new postings with immediate effect.

According to the state PPRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, “the new Commissioner of Police had worked as Deputy Commissioner, Operations in Ogun before he was promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police and transferred to Police Medical Services, Falomo, Lagos, as CP Administration also the new CP is a graduate of Political Science University of Ibadan.”

DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi added that “he joined the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of police in 1988.”
