The Paramount ruler of Yewaland and Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle has ordered the gubernatorial candidate of Allied People’s Movement APM, Hon Adekunle Akinlade to go and withdraw his appeal case from Supreme Court against Governor Dapo Abiodun’s election.
The traditional rulers said this on Saturday while addressing important personalities and people of Yewaland present at the 2019 Ilaro Oronna festival.
Ọba Olugbenle urged Akinlade on behalf of other traditional rulers in Yewaland to withdraw his case for his political future.
Olu of Ilaro said he’s very proud of Akinlade as Yewa son and dogged fighter, he further added, since he had lost in Court of Appeals Ibadan, he didn’t need to go further to Supreme Court.
Among those who honoured this year festival included the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Noimot Salako Oyedele, Chief of Staff to Governor Abiodun, Alhaji Shuaib Salisu Omoyayi, Former Deputy Governor, Alhaja Salimot Badru, Chief Adigun Socopau, Chief Reuben Abati, Hon Ifekayode Akinbode, Chief M.A Ajibola, and many others.
The chairman of the occasion, Senator Olamilekan Adeola popularly known as Yayi attended the occasion with 13 Federal lawmakers, included Senator Ayo Akinyelure, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo, and 9 others.
Senator Adeola Olamilekan donated the sum of N50,000,000 on behalf of his colleagues he invited for the occasion.
Chief Ebenezer Obey was on stage to entertain people.
